This is a one-act play.
The play is set in Mario’s loft apartment which is rather damp and cluttered. It contains a bed, table, chairs, as well as Mario’s writing and drawing materials.
Throughout the play, animations and illustrations of Aidun and Razatino are often projected on a screen at the back of the stage. These sometimes reflect what is happening in Mario’s dreams. They also depict the exciting adventures of Aidun, as well as her adventures with Mario.
Mario spends most of the play in his wheelchair. He is about 60 years old.
The Narrator figure is described as somewhat of an ethereal presence – neither male nor female. This figure is lit from above and seems to subtly appear and disappear in the course of the play. At times, the Narrator ‘freezes’ the action on stage with a gesture, so that s/he can explain something to the audience.
